IT Field Support Specialist

The Role
We are looking for an IT Field Support Specialist who shares our obsession with excellence. In this role, you are the face of ADVYON. You aren’t just closing tickets; you are delivering confidence and peace of mind to our clients—ranging from local municipalities and fire departments to law firms and schools.
You will embrace our "No Ping-Pong" Policy: When a client has a problem, you own it until it is resolved. We do not point fingers at other vendors; we act as the liaison to fix the issue right the first time.
What You Will Do
- On-Site Excellence: Travel to client sites (Charleston, Mt. Pleasant, Summerville, etc.) to install, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and networking equipment.
- "White Glove" Hardware Lifecycle: Receive, unbox, update, and configure hardware at our HQ before it reaches the client. You ensure every device is "plug-and-play" ready upon delivery.
- Network & Infrastructure: Assist with the installation and maintenance of structured wiring, access controls, and networking gear (specifically Ubiquiti and Cisco Meraki).
- Total Ownership: Serve as the primary point of contact for technical issues. If the internet is down, you don't tell the client to call Comcast—you call Comcast.
- Security-First Support: Adhere strictly to CIS Security Standards (CMMC, HIPAA, CJIS) while working on client environments.
- Human-Centric Communication: Explain complex technical issues in plain English. We value patience and clarity over technical jargon.
Who You Are (The "Must Haves")
- Service-First Mindset: You have a background in or a deep understanding of customer service. You treat people the way they want to be treated.
- Technical Proficiency: Solid experience with Windows OS, Office 365 administration, and general networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Problem Solver: You enjoy the challenge of diagnosing hardware and software issues and finding the root cause, not just a band-aid fix.
- Clean Background: Because we serve high-security clients (Police, Fire, Government), you must be able to pass a SLED background check and achieve CJIS Level 4 Certification (fingerprinting required).
- Reliable Transportation: You must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between client sites.
