SUMMERVILLE, S.C., October 8, 2018 –
The Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce recently promoted Kevin Szostak to Director of Investor Services.
Szostak is a proud Summerville native and is dedicated to preserving, protecting, and enhancing the small-town charm that have drawn many to Flowertown. In his new role as Director of Investor Services, he is primarily responsible for member-business engagement at the Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce. He also oversees the Chamber’s divisions and councils, coordinates volunteer involvement, and maintains the Chamber’s strategic plan. His work in the past has helped the Chamber achieve its 4-star U.S. Chamber accreditation and earn a Carolinas Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (CACCE) Communications Excellence award.
He serves as the board chair for the Keep Dorchester County Beautiful nonprofit, sits on two stakeholder committees for the Berkeley Charleston Dorchester Council of Governments, as well as the SCDOT I-26 Corridor Management Plan Committee, and represents the Chamber at the Ashley Scenic River Advisory Council, on Summerville D.R.E.A.M. subcommittees, and other community groups. In his spare time, Kevin is an avid woodworker and enjoys the outdoors.
He holds a Business Economics degree from Wofford College and will complete Leadership Dorchester at the end of 2018. Szostak began work at the Chamber with an internship in January 2015 until he was hired full-time in June 2017.
