It’s that short paragraph at the end of your press release; the one that tells who you are and what you do. You’ve hooked your reader with a compelling headline and meaty tidbits of your announcement. Now, your challenge is to keep them engaged and eager to learn more about you. End your press release, your annual report and your website with a consistent, well-crafted BOILERPLATE STATEMENT. With carefully chosen wording, you’ll be factual and authoritative about your company, products and market position. Deliver your “About Us” message powerfully and succinctly, and lead your reader to sources of more.
